Houston Arboretum & Nature Center

The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is a nonprofit nature sanctuary dedicated to providing environmental education to people of all ages and to protecting and enhancing the Arboretum as a haven for native plants and animals. One of the first nature education facilities for children in the state of Texas, the Arboretum serves more than 500,000 visitors annually through field trips, programming, special events, and more. The site’s 5 miles of trails, which are free to the public, wind through prairie, savanna, woodland, and wetland habitats.
